Today we'll listen to the Artwork Annotation talks and then we'll start looking at Early Abstraction.
Artwork Annotations: Starry Night, The Scream, Where Do We Come From?, Mont Sainte-Victoire
We finished up the Romanticism unit yesterday (link was previously posted). Today, we will be looking at the Realists and the Impressionists.
Today (and tomorrow) we will be studying and preparing for the Final Exam. Remember, the exam will be covering the following Content Areas: Global Prehistory, Ancient Mediterranean, Early Europe and Colonial Americas, and Global Contemporary. Today, we did a bit of Heads Up with the various works. We'll do some of this tomorrow as well.
My suggestion for your own studying would be to go through the works and quiz yourself using a Box Notes template. There will be about 45-50 multiple choice questions and one FRQ (15 minutes). The FRQ will be over a Global Contemporary work. We'll be finishing up the Enlightenment, Rococo, and Neoclassical slideshow today and moving on to Romanticism.
We'll be starting our next content area: Later Europe and Americas (1750-1980 C.E.). This set should include many works/buildings/sites you may be familiar with.
