Requirements for non-250 presentations:
Tomorrow is the Art History exam! Aaaahhhh!!!!
I'm sorry that I'm not able to be in class today (sick daughter at home), but don't fret. You are all very well prepared for the exam. The exam will be taking place at 12 tomorrow in the Library. If you'd like, you can come in before that time to check in and get any last minute questions answered. Spend some time reviewing today. Here is the entire 250. Quiz each other over Form, Content, Context, and Function. If I don't see you before the exam tomorrow: you can always eliminate a couple answers from the multiple choice questions which will help you narrow it down; 15 min. FRQs have 5 tasks; 30 min. FRQs will have 7 tasks; answer the FRQ tasks in the order they appear in the prompt; there will be at least one attribution question; use the entire time--if you finish an FRQ early, go back try to say one more thing. Partner FRQ Answer: Rachel Ruysch, Fruit and Insects, 1711 C.E., Oil on wood This painting, like most by Ruysch, is a celebration of the scientific discoveries of her age. The artist’s father, Frederik, was an anatomist and botanist at the center of the scientific discoveries of the Enlightenment, fueled in large part by Delft’s Anthonie van Leeuwenhoek’s invention of microbiology, following on the work of Britain’s Robert Hooke. Microscopy enabled scientists to see the previously unseen, and inspired artists to explore and present microcosms.
