We had a quick West and Central Asia quiz today, followed by a group FRQ, and then we started to look at Hindu works from India (South, East, and Southeast Asia Content Area).
By Thursday, everyone will need to complete 1 (one) Box Notes for either Shiva as Lord of the Dance or the Lakshmana Temple. We'll be finishing up our look at some of the Secular Artworks from West and Central Asia today. We'll also begin looking at works from South, East, and Southeast Asia--specifically, our one Buddhist work.
Finished up the Islamic Art today. By Friday, complete a Box Notes for both the Dome of the Rock and the Great Mosque (Masjid-e Jameh).
We started to look at Buddhist art today. We're starting our last group of Content Areas today. Our last grouping will be Asia. Today, we'll start with the West and Central Asia Content Area. This Content Area will be divided between three different sub-units: Islamic art, Buddhist art, and Secular art.

There will be three regions we focus on: Polynesia Micronesia Melanesia Students will need to work on researching and completing the assignment for the Independent Study Works.
We finished up our Africa unit today as we looked at artworks from West Africa.
