Then, we're going to start reviewing. Remember, the test over Indigenous Americas, Africa, and The Pacific will be on Thursday. We'll do a Kahoot on Wednesday. We're starting our next Content Area today (The Pacific - 700-1980 C.E.). Below are the intro slides and the entire Image Set.

Africa Introduction South Africa West Africa Students will be writing a cross-culture comparison essay today. They will be working in groups of 2-3.
Students will write the equivalent of a 30 minute FRQ (they know what this should be like). Below are the two works they will be discussing. These have been linked to their respective Khan Academy essays. Chavín de Huántar and Church of Sainte-Foy Prompt: Both works feature popular pilgrimage sites during their time. What was the purpose of the pilgrimage for each work? How did the sites facilitate the pilgrimage experience? What would that experience have been like? What was the culmination of the end of the experience? How are these two works similar in that context? In your responses, make sure you are discussing form, content, and context. We're finally back! Today, we moved north into Mexico. We covered the Maya civilization (Yaxchilan was the only work from the set). On Monday, we'll finish up by looking at the Aztec work.
